Associate of Pastoral Care

Victoria Davidson has been in the ordained ministry for 28 years, serving mainly in the Dallas area of the North Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church.  She specialized in inner city ministry, assisting churches to meet the challenge of changing communities.  Recently, she spent a year in northeastern England under appointment by the British Methodist Church.  Vicki is a native of the Lufkin area, having returned in her retirement to live with her sister, Peggy Blackburn Gipson, in the same house here in which they grew up.  Vicki has two daughters and three granddaughters, all residing in Dallas.  Her older daughter, Valarie Englert, is also an ordained minister, making them the only mother-daughter ministers in the North Texas Conference. Vicki has a Bachelor of Science from East Texas Baptist University, a Master of Theology from SMU’s Perkins School of Theology, plus further graduate level work in community resources at the University of Houston.
