believe in the power of prayer at
Lufkin
’s
First
United
Methodist
Church
.
There are dedicated men and women who make it a priority to pray for
this church and for you. You can
feel confident that your prayer request is handled with the utmost care and
concern.
The Gathering – teachers and church
leaders are invited to this time of prayer every Sunday morning in the Prayer
Chapel (Student Education/Ministry Wing) at
9
AM
led by Lanelle Johnson. We pray
for the church, its staff, leaders, members, and visitors.
First Prayer – official prayer chain of
the church. This is a very active
group of people who take praying very seriously.
Leave your prayer request here. Our
faithful leaders are Bill and Emily Kistler, Earlon and Sarah Williams, and
Dennis and Joan Rankin.
Monday Morning Prayer Group – This group
meets in the Prayer Chapel every Monday morning at
9
AM
.
We pray for those in need, our staff, and our church.
This small group is open to anyone who has a heart for prayer.
Prayer Chapel – A great place to come
and present your requests to God. Our
Prayer Chapel is located at the end of our existing Student Education/Ministry
Wing. It is open 7 days a week
from
7:30
AM
to
9
PM
.
Confidence? God's word assures us that we can draw near with
confidence to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find
grace to help in the time of need. Is anyone in trouble, the Bible says let
him pray. If you lack wisdom, Jesus says ask. Are you worried? His word
encourages us to be anxious about nothing - but to present our requests to
God. To pray is not difficult: God not only gives us this opportunity, but
desires that we do.
